Introduction To Forged Wheels

Forged wheels are a classification of forgings, which are mainly used in gantry cranes, bridge cranes, mining machinery, etc. Also known as: driving wheel, crown wheel, wheel forging! Light rail vehicles are also used!

Common wheel forging materials: 60 #, 65Mn, 42CrMo

Forged wheel products are mainly used in automobile (agricultural machinery), basic parts, rolling stock, engineering machinery, petrochemical general purpose and other industries, of which more than 90% are automobile forgings, of which cold and warm precision forgings account for about 5.2% of the total forging. In 2004, the total output of forgings in China was about 3.26 million tons, including about 2.44 million tons of die forgings. Automobile forgings accounted for about 65% of die forgings, about 1.6 million tons, and cold and warm precision forgings accounted for about 4-5% of the total output of automobile forgings. Forgings forged by free forging on a forging hydraulic press larger than 10MN are called large forgings, and the production industry of large forgings has reached a certain production scale and level.

The technology of forging wheel anodizing is the latest lightweight aluminum alloy rim manufacturing technology of Hamann motorsport. Using this new forging technology, the weight of aluminum alloy rim can be reduced by more than 38% compared with the traditional cast rim, and the unsprung weight can be greatly reduced to avoid affecting the vehicle performance.

The new shape adopts exaggerated outward expansion and bifurcation design to show a strong sports style. It corresponds to the 23 inch, 11j and 12j width specifications of BMW series, and 21 inch, 9j and 12.5j width specifications of Ferrari F599 and California.

This unique forged wheel anodizing technology can reduce the weight of 38% compared with the traditional cast wheel rim, so that the modification of large-size aluminum alloy wheel rim will not affect the vehicle performance.
