① Curtain and canvas cutting

A large number of curtains and canvas are required in the manufacturing process of the tire casing. These rubber cords and canvas include rubber cord fabric for buffer layer, rubber cord fabric for cord layer, and wrapping fabric for steel bead and bead. According to the provisions of the construction table, cut the curtain and canvas covered with glue into various adhesive strips of certain width and angle as required. The rubber curtain and canvas are cut on horizontal and vertical cutting machines respectively.

② Adhesive cord fabric pasted with release adhesive

The ply number of the outer tire is mainly determined according to the tire specification, application, internal pressure, load and cord strength. In a bias tire, since the warp threads of the adjacent plies of the ply are usually arranged crosswise, the number of plies of the tire should be even (in a radial tire, since the cords are arranged in the meridian direction, each ply can work independently, so even layers are not required). For example, most car tyres have 4-6 layers, while truck tyres have more than 6, 8 and 10 layers. The ply layers are numbered from the inside to the outside. In order to prevent the delamination of the carcass of the multi-layer casing and form a uniform rigid transition between the carcass and the buffer layer, the warp linear density of the outer ply is generally small, and several layers of isolation films with a width up to the shoulder and sidewall are sandwiched between the outer plies. The release film is pasted on the surface of a part of the cut rubber cord fabric by the calender according to the provisions of the tire casing manufacturing construction table. The starting number of the release film is determined by the structure and specification of the casing. The rubber used is the same as the cord rubber. For example, for truck tires with 10 ply cords, release films are pasted on the 7th, 8th and 9th ply cords, and release films are pasted on the 5th, 6th and 7th ply cords with 8 ply cords.

③ Manufacturing of buffer layer

A ply laminating machine or a special laminating machine can be used for manufacturing the buffer layer. There are two kinds of buffer layer structures, one is composed of pure rubber layer, and the other is composed of buffer film and buffer rubber cord fabric. The former buffer layer is often used for car tires, and the latter buffer layer is often used for truck tires. Because the buffer layers have different structures, their manufacturing methods are also different. The buffer layer composed of pure rubber layer is a film with a certain width and thickness produced by a calender, which is directly pasted to the outermost layer of the cut cord fabric by hanging a release adhesive; Or cut into a certain length of rubber strip after fully cooling and shrinking, and directly fit when forming the tire casing; Or it can be made into a ring-shaped rubber slip for use in shaping the tire casing. When manufacturing the buffer layer composed of the buffer film and the buffer rubber cord fabric, the film of a certain specification and the cut buffer rubber cord fabric are pasted on the laminating machine in the shape of a ring cylinder according to the length specified in the construction standard table for use in shaping the outer tire.

The cords of the rubber cord fabric of the buffer layer of bias tire shall cross each other at the same angle as the cord fabric, i.e. form an angle of 50 ° ~ 52 ° with the cross section. And a layer close to the ply must also cross the outermost ply cord. The buffer layer of radial tire is also called belt layer, which is composed of 3 ~ 5 layers of steel cord or 4 ~ 6 layers of fiber cord. The cross section of the cord and the tire is at an angle of 70 ° ~ 75 °. The cords of the adjacent layers of the belt are also arranged crosswise, just like the cords in the ply and buffer layer of the bias tire.

④ Cord barrel manufacturing

At present, except for a few small-sized tires that use rubber cord cloth strips to directly paste the synthetic type on the molding machine head, generally, an annular cylinder made of rubber cord strips that have been cut into a certain width, length and angle before molding is used. The cord fabric is generally composed of two, three or four layers of rubber cord fabric bonded together. When fitting, in the bias tire, the angles of the adjacent two layers of cords cross each other; In the radial tire, the carcass cords are arranged in the radial direction, so all the cords of the carcass ply of the radial tire do not cross each other. The cord lamination operation is performed on a cord laminating machine.

⑤ Steel ring manufacturing

The steel ring is composed of steel ring filler (triangular rubber strip) and steel ring cloth. Generally, a small press with linkage device is used to manufacture the steel bead. When the steel wire passes through the mouth plate of the extruder, the steel wire and the steel wire surface are held, and the isolation glue is applied to form the steel wire tape with glue. Coil the coil into a certain diameter and a certain number of layers of wire rings according to the construction table, and then cut them off. Wrap the rubber tape around the joint of the steel ring, and then stick the triangular rubber strip on the outer circumference of the steel ring, and wrap the steel ring cloth, that is, the steel ring is made.
